Dr. T. S. Somashekar

Dr. Somashekar has over 20 years of experience teaching economics and law. He is currently a member of the advisory board for the European Doctorate in Law and Economics (EDLE), a member of the Governing Bodies of NLSIU and the Madras Institute of Development Studies, and part of the Board of Studies of the Ramaiah Law School. Spanning his career of 20 years, he has held various other positions including the following: Erasmus Mundus Fellow at the Institute for Law and Economics at the University of Hamburg, Germany (2006) Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of Karnataka to help formulate the industrial policy (2008) Two time United States International Visitors Leadership Program participant to study US trade policy (2009-10) Global Visiting Professor at the Dedman School of Law, Southern Methodist University, Dallas (2010 -2014) Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Chair Professor at Sciences Po, Paris (2011).

Mr. Manas Chaudhuri

Mr. Manas Kumar Chaudhuri, an anti-trust litigator, advises Indian and overseas clients on Competition Law & Policy and related legal/regulatory issues. He has worked as the first Additional Registrar of the Competition Commission of India and was also associated with the drafting of various statutory Regulations under the Competition Act during his stay in the CCI. Prior to joining the profession as a full-time lawyer, Manas served as a Civil Judge in the West Bengal State Judicial Services. He also worked as the Joint Director (Legal) Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission. He is the National Chair of Competition Law Council of the ASSOCHAM and Member of the CII Legal Task Force and Regulatory Law Committees and has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the IPBA Competition Law Council for 2018-2020.
